City Events: Where Cities Meet Sport

From November 17th to 19th, 2010, major international sports events players will meet in Brussels.

Organised by GL Events and FISU, City events is the first international conference that brings together cities interested in hosting international sporting competitions as well as international and continental sports organisations looking for ambitious hosts for their events.

City events is a unique conference, where cities, events, suppliers and partners meet, exchange and address new ideas, building all together tomorrow’s international sporting events.

This year’s conference theme «From Sport Event to Citywide Experience» aims at strengthening the bond among all these stakeholders to create events that are much more than just sporting competitions, but which are for the benefit of all. From sporting challenges, to economic challenges, as well as political, financial and marketing issues.

During 3 days, international sports events are sifted through by the most prestigious speakers from: X-Games, Volvo Ocean Race, FISU Universiades, French Golf Federation, and the many cities as Brussels, Lausanne, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Vancouver, Kazan, Johannesburg ...
