Gas Turbine Efficiency Hires Alessandro Boursier as Business Development Director for Oil & Gas Industry

Energy services company continues to meet market demand by expanding to new locations and hiring key energy professionals to maintain industry leadership.

Orlando, Florida — Gas Turbine Efficiency plc (AIM: GTE), a leader is energy and aviation products and services, announces the incorporation of Alessandro Boursier as Business Development Director for Oil & Gas. In this position, Mr. Boursier will lead and manage business development operations from GTE’s newest international office in Florence, Italy, which is set to open October 2009.

Alessandro Boursier will be responsible for the advancement of GTE’s growth strategy in the Oil and Gas Market, defining a strategic plan and solutions portfolio to meet the emerging fuel efficiency and environmental needs of this important customer segment.

In recent years, the European Union (EU) has been pushing for an increase in efficiency and decreasing emission levels from gas turbine operators in the energy industry. The goal of this initiative is to incentivize the advancement of renewable energy technologies and reducing member countries’ dependence on fossil fuels. With that in mind, GTE is increasing its industry footprint by taking an active role in the development of technologies that can lead to cleantech solutions for sustainable energy generation.

GTE has experienced steady, fast-paced growth over the past two years, prompting the addition of new positions across multiple locations in the U.S.—namely Orlando, Florida and Duncan, South Carolina—as well as in international offices in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Russia and Italy.

Prior to joining GTE, Mr. Boursier was employed with General Electric’s Oil & Gas division as their Upgrades Business Development Leader. Alessandro brings to the company 8 years of industry experience in Project Management, Sales & Marketing and Product Management, supported by his background in mechanical engineering.
